Dr. Rick Seabolt is originally from Conroe, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University in College Station from 1989 to 1992, medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine, and then completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Upon completion of his residency training in 2001, Dr. Seabolt returned to College Station to join the practice at Central Texas Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics. Since that time, he has served as a Team Physician for Texas A&M University, as a Team Orthopedic Surgeon for Blinn College and Bryan High School, and has provided medical care for other area schools. Dr. Seabolt recently practiced at Texas Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine before rejoining CTSM in 2013.
Dr. Seabolt has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 2004, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons since 1996, the Texas Orthopaedic Association since 2002, and the Christian Medical Dental Association since 2001. He has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons since 2005. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the Texas Medical Association. His professional interests include general orthopaedics, sports medicine and arthroscopy.
Dr. Seabolt held leadership positions as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at The Physicians Centre in Bryan, Texas from 2003 to 2005, and he served on the Trauma Services Committee of St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas from 2004 to 2005. He has served on multiple leadership committees at hospitals in the Brazos Valley.
Dr. Seabolt is very active in the local community. He is President of the Bryan/College Station Soccer League. He and his wife, Deanna, were married in 2000 and have two sons, Sol and Samuel. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas.
