MRI Services

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive exam that helps physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. High-quality images are assured only if you are able to hold perfectly still. MRI exams usually take 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete. The MRI technologist will go over your medical history (surgeries and procedures) prior to your exam. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your MRI exam, please ask the technologist.

Please inform the physician and/or the MRI technologist of any implanted devices that you have or have had in the past, such as:

  • Pacemakers and/or Defibrillators
  • Cochlear (inner ear) implants
  • Aneurysm clips (clips used in the brain for the repair of an aneurysm)

If you have any of the above implanted devices, you CANNOT have an MRI,
and you should not enter the MRI environment.

Please dress comfortably and wear clothing that does not have metal zippers or buttons.
