Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)Update

Central Texas Sports Medicine is closely monitoring the latest developments with respect to coronavirus. We are following the recommendations that are provided by the CDC and are in constant communication with our local health departments and hospitals. In response to recommendations from CMS and the government, we have implemented telemedicine visits in order to still provide care to those that are having orthopaedic issues while lessening their public interactions. We are also providing same day appointments for patients that have a traumatic injury during this time. We are able to safely work you in, create a treatment plan, and limit your potential exposure by keeping you out of the emergency room.

To set up a telemedicine visit, please call our main number 979-776-0169 and explain your wish to schedule a telemedicine visit. Please have your insurance information handy, as these visits are still filed with your insurance company and that information will be needed prior to scheduling. Also note that patients are responsible for any coinsurance or copays as indicated by your insurance company.

If you have experienced an acute injury of any type and feel you need to be seen in the office, call our main number so that we can get you on the schedule. Please note all patients being seen in the office will be expected to complete the coronavirus screening form. We have also implemented a new visitor policy. We will only allow one visitor with a patient and no one under the age of 16 unless they are the patient. Anyone experiencing respiratory symptoms, fever, or having exposure to a person with coronavirus will not be seen in the office.

The safety of our patients, employees, and physicians remains our highest priority.
